Transparency

Transparency and accountability are two unquestionable pillars on which the actions of all NGDOs must rest. These are aspects to which we at CIDEAL pay a great deal of attention because they help us to know ourselves better, grow and provide more and better support to the beneficiaries of our development actions.

Since 2012 we are subject to the Transparency and Good Governance Tool of the Coordinating Committee of Development NGOs – Spain, having obtained from the beginning the seal of evaluated NGDO, which, after the last periodic review, remains valid until 2024.

The Code of Ethics and Deontology reflects CIDEAL’s commitment to the principles of ethics and transparency in all its areas of activity, establishing a set of principles and guidelines for conduct aimed at ensuring the ethical and responsible behaviour of all its professionals in the development of their activity and is directly linked to CIDEAL’s Compliance Manual.

The Code of Ethics and Deontology has been drawn up and signed, considering national and international recommendations in this area, constituting a basic reference for its monitoring.

In this way, it is configured as a guide, which expands and reinforces the Code of Conduct of the Coordinator, which remains fully in force in our organisation, to help all persons linked to CIDEAL to choose the most ethically appropriate option in any circumstance.

It also responds to the prevention obligations established in the liability of legal persons operated by the L.O. 1/2015.
